The Rental Car Market Booking Procedure

This website has been specifically set up to provide travel agents access to one of the largest independent car rental suppliers in Ireland - County Cars along with its subsidiary Ace Rental Cars. This provides you with a great alternative to some of the multinational brands. You will find deals here that simply aren't available anywhere else. Ones that provide your customers great value and deliver you a healthy 15% commission without all of the usual complications of collecting this payment.

Registering With This Site
Before you can place a booking with us, you will need to give us a call to or send us an email to register your details with us. When you do this we will issue you with an agent code which you need to enter everytime you make a booking so that we can identify you for payment. During this conversation, we will also give you a quick rundown on how everything works and do a live booking demo with you in order to familiarise you with the booking process.

Placing A Booking
This is a simple five step process
1. Use the quick search panel on the site to select the vehicle you are after on the dates your client is travelling
2. Click 'book now' once you have made your choice
3. Enter your agency code and then add any extras to the booking that your client would like from the menu list and click 'proceed'
4. Then enter your clients details in the easy to follow booking form
5.Click on 'confirm'

Confirming A Booking
When you have confirmed a booking with us an enquiry is generated to the reservations team at County Car Rentals. In most cases you will get an instant confirmation. If however you a requesting a less common class of vehicle, where we have limited fleet availability, it may take up to 24 hours for us to confirm this booking with you due to the time difference between NZ and Ireland.

Vouchers
After a booking has been confirmed, you will be issued with a voucher, which you can print out and give to your client. This will have detailed pick up instructions on it plus the full terms and conditions of the rental. You should include this in your clients travel wallet as they will need to present this to County Car when they pick up their vehicle.

Payment
During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card which will be debited with a booking deposit equal to 20% of the rental portion of the booking. The card you use can either be that of your customers or your own company card. No amount will be processed on this credit card until we have confirmed availability.

Financial Transactions
With our system you are not required to take the full value of the booking off the customer at the front end so there are no messy financial transactions involved at your end. You will need however to clearly explain to them that you are required to take this booking deposit from them to secure the vehicle and that they will be required to pay the balance locally upon pick up. This transaction is clearly detailed on the rental voucher we issue, so the balance paid and balance due is clearly displayed.

Your Commission
At the end of every month we pay out on the bookings that you have placed with us. You will receive a statement in the mail from us that includes a cheque covering your commission.
